3 items that can unexpectedly take a toll on you while moving

The excitement of getting settled at your new place will wear off as soon as packing up boxes will set in. It is certainly possible to pack up and move your belongings on your own. There needs to be some effort and skill in being a pro packer and mover. However, there are some items that require extra attention. No, they are not just the "fragile" ones, there are a few more in the list. Given that these items are taken care of well by Van with a Man Hire, you can actually have a smooth moving process.

Are you curious about knowing what they are already? Continue reading to find out.

1. Plants

Houseplants are one of the trickiest things to move. Wondering what is so difficult in moving houseplants? Imagine moving a large container of dirt, which can obviously get a lot messy at times. When you travel through extreme temperatures or a long drive, you might end up with plant fatalities as well as a lot of dirt everywhere. One of the smartest ways to guarantee your plants would not be affected by the move is to not move them at all. But most of us do not want to leave our plants behind or to give them to family or friends.
To your rescue comes our tips- transfer the plants into a plastic pot if they are in heavy ceramic ones. Do this a few weeks before you plan to move so that they get enough time to settle. Prefer moving them in your own vehicle and not the moving vehicle. This way you can control temperatures and prevent any damage by being extra careful.

2. Pianos

Pianos are very heavy and challenging to move. They might be large and bulky but they do have intricate parts on the inside that can be easily damaged. Needless to say, they are a true moving nightmare. You can easily escape leaving your piano behind by hiring VipVan, which is the best piano moving man with a van in Dublin.  If you take the task on yourself, you might end up damaging not just the piano but also your doorways and hallways. Avoid any unnecessary injuries to yourself or to your surrounding by leaving piano moving to the pros.

3. Fish Tanks

Most of the times fish do not survive a move because of hectic sloshing and fluctuating conditions. We understand the emotional value you share with your fish and have come up with a solution for that as well. Here's what you have to do- empty the fish tank most of the way, keeping a little water in the bottom, to ensure existing bacteria colony remains when you refill it. Move your fish in a small container or bag using your tank water and they are all set to move safely. Do your best to keep the fish stabilized to avoid any sloshing which can cause stress and injury. As you reach your new house, set up your fish tank immediately. Float the bags or containers back into the tank and allow your fish to acclimate to the new temperatures. Watch them closely for a few days to make sure the transition has been successful and address any issues that may arise.
